After the initial sweet success of its popular Lahaina and Pā‘ia locales, Ono Gelato Company decided to bring its dessert heaven to the south side, and has opened the doors to its new ice cream shop in Kīhei’s Azeka Plaza Makai. Ono Gelato combines the “fresh flavors of Hawai‘i with the traditions of Italy, to create a product that is all natural, organic when possible, local, sustainable and ono.” The new location offers 24 mouthwatering flavors of gelato made fresh onsite, and includes the company’s usual line of local confections and a variety of clothing and accessories.
Featuring Kimo Faulkner’s Kā’anapali estate grown coffees, Ono Gelato also offers all the traditional espresso-based hot and cold drinks. Its biggest location yet, the Kīhei store features a nice patio and benches made from local wood for customers to relax upon as they enjoy their treats.
